Spotlight for Recruiting Professionals
When it comes to cost-per-hire, the average amount is dependent on the way employers calculate their budgets.
Among employers responding to NACE’s 2018 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey that included personnel costs in their recruiting budget, the average cost-per-hire was $6,110. (See Figure 1.)
In comparison, the average cost-per-hire was $1,533 for employees that did not include personnel costs in their budget.
Data collection for NACE’s 2018 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey Report took place from June 20, 2018, to September 10, 2018; 218 firms participated. The 2018 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey Report is available free to members through MyNACE. An executive summary of the report is available through the NACE Store.
