    • Summary

      In this employer-focused webinar, participants will learn to reimagine the relationship between “diversity” and “inclusion” to understand why many diversity programs fail. Not surprisingly, most diversity programs are not increasing diversity. Organizations basically double down on the same approaches they have used since the 1960s—which often make things worse, not better. Studies prove that this kind of force-feeding can activate bias rather than stamp it out. This often results from improperly grouping “diversity” and “inclusion” together as one unified concept. When considered and implemented separately, however, “inclusion” practices often accomplish an organization’s “diversity” goals. Participants will leave empowered with inclusion: strategies for realizing genuine employment equality.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Enhance awareness and knowledge of data and research reflecting the widespread ineffectiveness of “diversity” initiatives despite their growing prevalence;
      • Redefine the relationship between “diversity” and “inclusion” to understand why many common “diversity” strategies decrease, rather than increase, diversity; and
      • Discover effective, practical, and readily implemented “inclusion” strategies for developing culture, realizing potential, increasing productivity, and accomplishing “diversity.”
