    • Summary

      Over the past two years we’ve seen technology adoption in recruiting and management accelerate. Now it seems everything is marketed with the AI label. Unfortunately, like most marketing bandwagons, not everything lives up to the label, and the label itself can obscure the human impact of our decisions. COVID, extended work-from-home experiences of many employees, and remote education for students has led to changes in attitudes and expectations about hiring and work. The confluence of these forces, along with increased efforts for workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion, have complicated hiring and increased pressure on talent acquisition teams. Looking for ways to ease pressure on stressed teams can have a lot of appeal, but not all AI solutions deliver, and often can undermine other critical initiatives, despite their marketing. Join us to explore the changing landscape and how we all can make better technology decisions for our organizations and the people they employ and impact. Although this session is employer-focused, navigating technology decision making affects all our offices, and therefore, all are welcome to attend.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Apply NACE career readiness competencies to our own work;
      • Identify ethical challenges posed by technology, especially AI; and
      • Project short and long-term implications of AI decisions on other business priorities.
