  You have the power to effect change for yourself, your colleagues, your organizations, and for the students you serve or recruit. NACE’s Game Changers Series, in celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, shines a light on game changers who share their personal stories and serve as models for working to bring about positive change.

  What can you do to bring about positive change? Join some of the emerging leaders in the profession as they detail their contributions and unpack innovation for the future of the profession. The interviewee will also share their personal game changing experiences and what those have meant for their professional and personal selves.

  Adrienne Antonio , Employer and Partnership Development Manager, University of California - Los Angeles - Career Center

  Adrienne Antonio proudly serves on the industry relations team at the UCLA Career Center as the Employer and Partnership Development Manager. She has more than10 years of experience in university recruiting and working in the nonprofit and education sector. She had the honor of working alongside and learning from diverse communities in multiple cities across the country after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a daughter of Filipino immigrants, product of Delano, California, and graduate of the public education system, she is committed to creating spaces for racial equity.

  

  Gerald Tang , Executive Director, Bridgewater State University

  Gerald Tang currently served as the Senior Associate Director of Operations and Marketing at Baruch College's Starr Career Development Center. Tang has been working in higher education for the last 15 years, primarily in career services. Previously, he worked at various educational institutions, including Columbia University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, La Roche University, and Susquehanna University. He received his bachelor's degree in human development from SUNY Binghamton and master's degree in student affairs and higher education at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing his online doctoral of education degree in higher education leadership at Maryville University in St. Louis. His research interests include Asian-American college presidency, international students career development, transfer student career success, and technology integration in career services. He is currently serving on the Board for the Career Services Technology Meeting and numerous committees with the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers. He was honored to receive the Outstanding Member award in 2020, Tribute Award in 2015, and the Outstanding New Member award in 2011 from EACE. He is also a member of NACE, ACPA, and NASPA. Outside of his professional career, he is a certified yoga instructor and offers free classes online and at the local recreational center.

  

  Kyle Santos , Peer Advising Coordinator, University of Oregon - Office of Academic Advising

  My name is Kyle Santos, a Career Readiness Coach for the Univ. Career Center. My pronouns are he, him, his. Originally from Ewa Beach, O’ahu on the islands of Hawai’i. Also, a relatively recent Duck graduate with a background in Psychology and minors in Sociology and Hawaiian Studies. I’m part of the Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation flight path and students of color liaison. I also serve as Co-chair for the Asian, Desi, Pacific Islander Strategies Group, Board Member for the Hawai’i Duck Alumni Chapter, and staying in touch with my islander roots with the Hui ‘O Hawai’i student club. One of my favorite things about being a career coach is the opportunity to empower and help students share their stories by simply talking story about life endeavors. No shame, always welcome to talk story!

  

  Kacheyta McClellan , Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, NACE

  Kacheyta earned a B.S. in Management and an M.B.A. in Human Resources from the University of Southern Indiana. Diversity & Inclusion as well as Career Development comprise 15 plus years of his experience in Higher Education and Associations. As a strategy architect, Kacheyta has developed successful conferences, retention initiatives, assessment tools, and diversity metrics that have earned him honors such as one of the Evansville Business Journal’s 20 under 40 Emerging Leaders and Leadership Evansville’s Individual Leadership Award recipient. He has also succeeded in developing partnerships with employers that have turned in to a variety of opportunities for students including internships, job shadowing, job placement, and more. Kacheyta has served on dozens of boards and committees that are community-focused with special attention reserved for people of color. In his current role as Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Kacheyta focuses efforts to advance the association and profession through a DEI lens. In addition to evaluating internal practices and analyzing all aspects of the association, Kacheyta also works with professionals throughout the nation to identify, investigate, and promote actions that move individuals and employers to be more inclusive. Some of his professional affiliations are with Career Development Professionals of Indiana (CDPI), National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE), NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, Kappa Beta Delta International Honors Society (Honorary), Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honors Society, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated (Life Member).
