  David Ong , Early careers leader, David Ong

  NACE President David Ong is the senior director, talent acquisition, for MAXIMUS Inc, a professional services firm based in Reston, Virginia, whose mission is “Helping Government Serve the People” by providing program management and consulting services to government agencies focused on public healthcare and social services programs. In his current role, Ong oversees activities related to university relations, diversity and inclusion, veterans, and disability recruitment. Ong has served in several leadership capacities for NACE as is the current president of the association.

  

  Fred Burke , Director, Graduate Career Management Center, Baruch College

  Fred Burke has 25 years of experience in higher-education career services. Currently, he is the director of the Graduate Career Management Center at The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, which is part of (CUNY) City University of New York. He has been an active NACE mentor for more than 10 years and was the NACE Mentor of the Year in 2019. Burke also has been active in a variety of NACE committees and served on the NACE Board of Directors from 2017 through 2019. Currently, he serves as a faculty member for the NACE Career Coaching Program.

  

  Gabrielle Royal , Senior Group Director of Diversity & Inclusion, CHANEL

  Gabrielle Royal (she/her) is a diversity, equity, and belonging strategist. She currently serves as the director of global diversity and inclusion for Abercrombie & Fitch Co., leading the strategic vision for diversity for the company’s portfolio of lifestyle brands: Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids, Hollister Co., and Gilly Hicks. Prior to her time in the fashion industry, she has spent the last 10 years as a D&I practitioner. Prior to A&F Co., she served as the vice president of campus diversity recruiting at Citigroup, working to push boundaries on Wall Street to bridge opportunity gaps for diverse candidates entering the financial services industry.

  

  Diane Safer PhD , Director of Career and Professional Development, Albert Einstein College of Medicine

  Diane A. Safer, Ph.D., is the director of career and professional development for biomedical science Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. There, Dr. Safer also serves as education director for the Cancer Research Career Enhancement program. Dr. Safer is author of NACE’s resource guide, Being a Successful Mentee. In addition to NACE, she is actively involved in key professional career organizations, including the Graduate Career Consortium, where she co-chairs the Mentoring Committee. Dr. Safer completed her B.A. (psychology) at University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her M.A. (experimental psychology) and Ph.D. (social psychology) at Columbia University.

  

  Nadine Verna , Director, Career Development, Montclair State University

  Nadine Verna currently serves as the director of Career Development for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Montclair State University. In addition to career services, she has held roles in admissions, academic advising, and multicultural affairs within higher education. She is the proud daughter of Haitian immigrants and passionate about advocating for marginalized groups. Verna is currently a member of the NACE Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee and was named the 2020 NACE Mentor of the Year. Her degrees are from Mount Holyoke College and New York University.
