This acceleration was accompanied by a set of new opportunities and challenges—engaging candidates in meaningful and authentic ways throughout the entire talent acquisition life cycle.

  Mary Scott , Managing Consultant, Scott Resource Group

  Mary Scott is the founder and managing consultant of Scott Resource Group (SRG), a recruitment consulting and training firm specializing in university relations and strategic recruitment issues. Drawing on extensive practitioner experience in the corporate, academic, and research arenas, she provides consulting and analytics professional services in university relations and recruitment to major corporations nationwide. Prior to forming the firm, Scott served as director, corporate staffing, at Aetna She has additional recruitment experience as assistant director of admissions at the University of St. Joseph, her undergraduate alma mater, and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.

  

  Kathleen Schaum , Executive Director- University Talent Acquisition, KPMG LLP

  Kathleen Schaum is responsible for leading, developing, motivating, and retaining KPMG’s US University Talent Acquisition team, including strategy development, branding and communications, inclusion and diversity strategy, and innovative program and process design. Schaum started her career in KPMG’s audit practice where she was ultimately a senior manager in the financial services audit practice. After 10 years in audit, she moved into university recruiting, serving as the West area director and then national director of audit recruiting before taking on her current role. Kathy is active in many different organizations. She has been a Board Member for the Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA), an active member of California Society of CPA’s (CalCPA), a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Colleges and Employers. Kathy received a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in accounting, from the College of William and Mary.

  

  Seldric Blocker , Executive Director - Early Careers, Seldric Blocker

  J. Seldric Blocker is currently the Executive Director and Head of Campus Recruitment for J.P. Morgan’s Asset and Wealth Management Division for North America and provides executive leadership for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.’s Advancing Black Pathways and Advancing Hispanic and Latino’s Fellowship Program. Blocker joined J.P. Morgan in January 2019. Over the past 20 years, Blocker has leveraged his expertise in leading recruiting functions within Fortune 50 companies and has developed culturally relevant, industry-leading programs that attract a wide spectrum of diverse candidates within the early career space. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Blocker was the Director of Campus Programs for NBCUniversal’s national intern program for more than 2,100 interns annually. Before joining NBCU, Blocker served at Bank of America and Lowe’s Home Improvement in a variety of campus recruiting roles. He began his career in HR and talent acquisition as a member of the campus recruitment team at Wachovia Securities (acquired by Wells Fargo). Blocker is a former NACE Board Member (2018-2020) and currently is a Co-Chair for the NACE HBCU (Historically Black College & University) Affinity Group. He has been a featured speaker on several NACE webinars, panel discussions, NACE National Conferences, and NACE Recruiter Leadership Institutes. Blocker was instrumental in providing thought leadership for the 2021 NACE HBCU Summit. Blocker holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Cornell University and earned his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in industrial education-human resource development. He is originally from Columbia, S.C., once resided in Charlotte, N.C., and is a currently a resident of Harlem, N.Y. in New York City. Blocker is an avid pianist, a proud alumnus of INROADS, and member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
