    • Summary

      With more than 1 million international students enrolled in American higher education institutions and an increasing reliance on international students to sustain school programs and budgets, it is essential that international students feel supported as they transition from school to work. Presenters will share best practices and case studies in career services, professional mentorship, and university recruiting in countries spanning the Middle East, Africa, and India. Participants will learn about innovative ways to support international students who must return home after graduation and assess their journeys into the job market.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Gain exposure to ways one can support their international students to find meaningful career opportunities when they graduate—either virtually or in-person;
      • Explore ways schools can reduce international students’ anxiety and expand career options despite a challenging immigration landscape and COVID-19; and
      • Identify best practices across the globe in countries where students may originate but where they may not have prior exposure.
