  • Directors’ Salaries, Raises Tops Among Recruiting Staff

    Spotlight for Recruiting Professionals

    With an annual average salary of nearly $110,000, directors are the highest paid core position involved in college recruiting at employer organizations, according to NACE’s 2017 Recruiting Compensation Benchmark Report.

    The average annual salary for directors is $108,334. (See Figure 1.) On average, the most recent annual salary increase for a director of college recruiting was 4.7 percent

    Following the salary for directors are those for managers, whose current average annual salary is $90,034; their most recent annual salary increase came in at 4.6 percent.

    Meanwhile, recruiters’ average salary for 2017 is $69,603; their most recent annual salary increase was 4.0 percent. And the annual salary for coordinators is $48,901, with a salary increase that was 3.2 percent.  

    Data collection for NACE’s 2017 Recruiting Compensation Benchmark Report took place from July 19, 2017, to August 1, 2017; 142 firms participated for a response rate of 13.4 percent. The 2017 Recruiting Compensation Benchmark Report will be available later this fall.
