    • Summary

      The pandemic resulted in many changes, including in the field of career services. The idea that career services professionals begin with empathy when making decisions about services, scalability, and programming is an example. This increased focus on empathy includes 1:1 work in that helping students simply explore their V.I.P.S. when engaging in self-assessment is not enough. Research suggests that we must also help students explore their career identity. This webinar will attempt to introduce a new framework to help students understand the role of identity expression within their career planning and decision-making while helping employers leverage values-based interviewing.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Identify methods to help students begin exploring their identity makeup to assess values and share their story;
      • Understand the relationship between subconscious identity and work-related values to aid student career decision making; and
      • Develop hiring practices that more effectively align candidate identity and role purpose.
