  • NACE Hosts Higher Education Policy Briefing for Policy Makers, Higher Ed Representatives

More than 30 policy makers, congressional staff, and representatives of higher education associations took part in “Higher Education Policy: NACE’s First-Destination Survey for College Graduate Outcomes” on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the Rayburn House building in Washington, D.C.

NACE Executive Director Marilyn Mackes was joined by volunteer leaders Kathy Sims, chair of the NACE Advocacy Committee; Dan Black, NACE past president; and Manny Contomanolis, chair of the NACE First-Destination Survey Team, to present an overview of the NACE’s national initiative to collect, analyze, and report graduate outcomes. Ed Koc, NACE director of research, public policy, and legislative affairs, also took part in the one-hour briefing.

The briefing focused on background related to the First-Destination Survey initiative. Although no results were discussed, the briefing also offered details about what data are being collected for the Class of 2014 and how those data can be tracked to determine trends in new college graduate employment.
