Career Readiness Integration Task Force

Committee Description:
The Task Force will review and provide evidence-based strategies on institution-wide implementation of readiness competencies. The Task Force will review the range of strategies and practices relative to the implementation of career readiness competencies with higher education and among employers to provide guidance and direction to NACE staff regarding the research, content, and professional development needs within the NACE membership.
Goals:
The Task Force will work to ensure outcomes in support of the NACE Strategic Plan with a focus on the following goals: 1. Increase and retain a diversified membership and create opportunities to engage and build professional networks. 2. Advance the body of knowledge, set standards, and cultivate professional acumen. 3. Serve as the leading source of research, data, and content.
Committee Charge(s):
Identify resources and tools, content, research priorities, and professional development needs which will advance the implementation of career readiness competencies within the profession and provide recommendations on implementing readiness career readiness initiatives within higher education and employer organizations.
Timeframe:
7/1/2022 to 6/30/2023
Deliverables Expected:
• Identify leading practices relative to comprehensive implementation of career readiness competencies which can be used to develop content and professional development programs for members. • Provide guidance relative to areas of research which will provide the profession with meaningful and actionable data and benchmarking. • Identify core success measures and structures needed by career services and employer practitioners to implement readiness competencies for NACE to use to support the profession. • Recommend professional development opportunities that will help career services and employer practitioners be prepared when developing an institution-wide competency program/strategy. • Do pre-work, including reading, writing, or reflecting upon career readiness competency content, research, and programs to assess the current state of NACE offerings.
