Recruiting Standards Task Force

Committee Description:
The Task Force will review and provide evidence-based revisions to the Association’s Professional Standards for University Relations and Recruiting. The task force will review, refresh, and consider the changing landscape of recruiting, which should include emerging modalities in sourcing talent (in-person, virtual, hybrid).
Goals:
The Task Force will work to ensure outcomes in support of the NACE Strategic Plan with a focus on the following goals: 1. Increase and retain a diversified membership and create opportunities to engage and build professional networks. 2. Advance the body of knowledge, set standards, and cultivate professional acumen. 3. Serve as the leading source of research, data, and content. 4. Advocate as the leading voice for the profession and serve as the authority on related public policy.
Committee Charge(s):
The pandemic made it that much clearer that the way companies recruit has shifted drastically, and that’s going to continue. To continue the momentum of the Recruiting Standards Task Force after its initial review of the Association’s Professional Standards for University Relations and Recruiting, this task force will continue to focus on equipping our members with the appropriate resources to adapt to the changing landscape of early talent recruiting.
Timeframe:
7/1/2023 to 6/30/2024
• Task Force meetings commence in early in early-to-mid August • Actively participate in conference calls, as scheduled to meet task force deliverables
Deliverables Expected:
• Collaboration across team to: o Develop socialization plan for Recruiting Standards across membership to include preliminary review by DEI Committee to ensure equitable considerations have been met. o Recommend and/or develop accompanying tools & resources to equip UR&R professionals in supporting these changes within their organizations. o Recommend an appropriate timeline for ongoing reviews of The Professional Standards. o Ensure standards & tools reflect diversity, equity, and inclusion considerations. o Provide members with a review of the standards in a webinar format, and/or conference sessions.
