Honors and Awards

Committee Description:
The Committee coordinates the promotion, nomination, and selection process for the 2024 NACE Awards. This committee recognizes innovation, leading practices of excellence, and thought leadership of a diverse group of individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the body of professional knowledge.
Goals:
Alignment to NACE Strategic Plan Goals: The Committee will work to ensure outcomes in support of the NACE Strategic Plan with a focus on the following goals: 2. Advance the body of knowledge, set standards, and cultivate professional acumen. 3. Serve as the leading source of research, data, and content.
Committee Charge(s):
Every day, our members are delivering excellence and once a year, we get to celebrate these members and recognize leading practices across our profession. The Honors and Awards Committee coordinates the promotion, nomination, and selection process for 2024 NACE Awards which recognize innovation and impact, leading practices of excellence, and demonstrate equitable and inclusive excellence.
Timeframe:
7/1/2023 to 6/30/2024
• Committee work kicks off in early-to-mid August and run through June 2024. • Awards nomination process initiated in November. • Review and selection process conducted from January – March. • Participate in regular conference calls throughout the year. • Provide feedback on how best to communicate about, celebrate and recognize awardees.
Deliverables Expected:
• Collaboration across team to: o Oversee the process (include selection rubrics) and activities for nominations and selection of awards. o Assess the process and propose changes, as needed. o Ensure awardees are representative of our diverse membership and that an equitable selection process is in place for all applicants. o Ensure awardees indicate agreement and commitment to uphold the Association’s pledge and statement around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Skills Required:
• Ability to fairly assess member nominations • Ability to act with speed and purpose
