One of the year's most impactful events, NACE’s HBCU Summit brings together leaders from HBCUs, talent acquisition, and NACE for a one-day, virtual program. Together, these diversity trailblazers share employer relations and recruiting strategies plus from-the-field insights to help build sustainable partnerships between HBCUs and employers committed to diversity recruiting.
The third annual NACE’s HBCU Summit will unveil new research on HBCU early talent recruitment and engagement, developed after a yearlong collaboration with the Center for the Study of HBCUs at Virginia Union University. This unique exploration—which analyzed approaches to HBCU talent engagement for internship and early career opportunities—uncovered new insights for the future of HBCU talent engagement.
This year, NACE and the Center for the Study of HBCUs will reveal the results of our yearlong research about HBCU student interns and recruiting.
All attendees will receive a free copy of this research report.
Welcome: Join us to learn why we are here, what to expect, and how participants can take part in and move the dialogue to advance recruiting initiatives forward. Featuring leadership from NACE.
Experts from the Center for the Study of HBCUs at Virginia Union University and NACE will detail results of their yearlong research study and the implications of those findings —all to provide a better understanding of the strategies that work and those that don’t during the HBCU student engagement and recruitment process.
HBCU presidents will discuss the HBCU Recruiting Practices Research findings, what they are experiencing and hearing as leaders, and what they suggest about the future of HBCU student engagement and recruiting.
Current HBCU students will share their experiences and early career narratives accessing resources designed to connect them with employers. Panelists will talk about the effectiveness of implemented strategies uncovered by the HBCU Recruiting Practices Research study and will highlight recruiting and career development efforts that are impactful. The students will focus on gaps and possible solutions that should be addressed in the recruiting and engagement process.
Professionals that specialize in HBCU student/talent development and recruitment will discuss the HBCU Recruiting Practices Research findings. They will provide additional insights and strategies as they compare the findings with their proven approaches in the college-to-career recruitment process and transition.
During this interactive session, HBCU career center representatives will offer brief introductions about their schools and students, and then respond to employer attendee questions. Together, participants will identify potential partnership and collaboration opportunities.
