Spotlight for Recruiting Professionals
Bonuses for the core positions involved in college recruiting at employer organizations were determined primarily by company-wide and individual performance measures, and minimally by departmental measures, according to NACE’s 2017 Recruiting Compensation Benchmark Report.
Among these positions, directors were most likely to receive a bonus. More than 80 percent of responding firms provide bonuses to directors; the median bonus is $10,000. (See Figure 1.)
Like directors, college recruiting managers (76.8 percent) and college recruiters (69.2 percent) were eligible for bonus compensation at a majority of organizations. However, fewer than half of responding firms reported giving bonuses to college recruiting coordinators.
Data collection for NACE’s 2017 Recruiting Compensation Benchmark Report took place from July 19, 2017, to August 1, 2017; 142 firms participated for a response rate of 13.4 percent. An executive summary is available on the NACE website. The full report is available to those at participating organizations through MyNACE > Research Reports.
