• Summary

  This session will provide an overview of how Cigna's Early Career Talent Acquisition team began collecting and using diversity data to help inform and develop its recruiting strategy. We will include examples of our diversity dashboards and share how we build and leverage them. Key points in the presentation will include how to determine which data sets you should focus on based on your organization's DE&I strategy, how applicant funnels and hiring outcomes can illustrate areas of success and opportunity, and how to aggregate and share this information with business partners to drive change both internally and externally. While this session is geared toward the employer audience, all are welcome to attend.

  Following this program, you will be able to:

  • Determine which recruitment data to collect and use that also reflects an organization's DE&I Strategy;
  • Understand how to use applicant funnel and hiring data to look at areas of success and opportunity; and
  • Use data to be consultative with business partners, e.g., how to have the conversation and how to implement these learnings to continue driving the recruiting strategy.

  Keisha Farrington , Diversity Recruiting Strategist, The Cigna Group-Diversity

  Keisha Farrington joined Cigna as a diversity recruiting leader in October 2021. Her team focuses on building an inclusive workforce that mirrors the communities Cigna serves, partnering with the organization's Enterprise Resource Groups (ERGs) to increase the pipeline of diverse applicants, and using data to influence future strategies. Farrington started her talent acquisition career on the staffing agency side in 1999 and supported multiple Fortune 100 companies before transitioning to corporate recruiting in 2013. Prior to joining Cigna, she worked as an assistant director overseeing 10 direct reports and was accountable for managing enterprise diversity recruiting programs and internal mobility initiatives. She attended Wake Forest University and pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in the spring of 1998.

  

  Erin McMurray , Early Careers Programming & Operations Specialist, The Cigna Group-Diversity

  Erin McMurray is the early careers programming and operations specialist at Cigna and is based out of the global headquarters in Bloomfield, CT. She has held several positions during her 11 year tenure at Cigna. In her current role, her main responsibilities include assisting with planning and executing Cigna’s 10-week summer internship program, managing the logistics around diversity partnerships, and handling all of the early career recruitment data and analytics. McMurray began her human resources career in an administrative role on the HR business partner team where she became the subject matter expert in the talent review process. From there, she moved onto the early career talent acquisition team as a coordinator and fell in love with all things early career. She holds a bachelor’s degree in relational communications from Western Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University.
