• Summary

  Join us as we explore the trends from our latest job outlook, recruiting benchmarks, and internship surveys of employers. Specifically, we will take a look at the landscape for summer and fall 2022 graduates and interns—and how the nature of internship experiences continues to evolve as we enter a new phase of the “Pandemic Effect.” We will dive into our data to gain insights about internship trends and graduate hiring predictions, including outcomes relative to selection, diversity hiring, conversion rates, retention, and more. This NACE Town Hall features subject matter experts who will discuss our research and share how they are meeting their goals.

  Shawn VanDerziel , President & Chief Executive Officer, NACE

  As president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Shawn VanDerziel leads the association of 16,000 college career services professionals, university relations and recruiting professionals, and business solution providers that serve the community. As a leading voice on the employment of the college educated and advocate for equitable outcomes for all students, VanDerziel is featured regularly as an industry expert and is a sought-after speaker on a range of topics, including internships, hiring, career readiness, and trends in the workforce and college job market. Prior to joining the NACE staff, VanDerziel was with the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago for 23 years, where he most recently served as chief human resources officer and as chief of staff. His earlier roles included corporate recruiting with Norrell Corporation and a position in higher education as associate director of student enrollment at National Louis University.

  

  Cindy Loggins , Head of Global Emerging Talent, eBay, Inc.

  Cindy Loggins is a seasoned leader with nearly two decades of experience in the university recruiting space, best known for her contagious passion and energy around hiring early in career talent. As eBay’s Global Head of University Recruiting & Programs, she is responsible for leading the design and implementation of the company’s strategy for finding the best, brightest and most diverse early in career talent, ensuring that diversity and inclusion are inherent to eBay’s university recruiting strategy. Prior to eBay, she served as Veritas' senior manager of university recruiting and diversity, where she further drove the company’s early in career foundational strategy. Before that, she worked at Amazon as a university recruiting manager where she launched a university recruiting program in one of their subsidiaries, Lab126, hiring software, hardware, and operations students. Prior to Amazon, she was a senior university recruiter for Adobe Systems where she partnered with her team to hire undergrad, graduate, and M.B.A. students. Previously, she also spent time with Pacific Gas and Electric where she got her start in the HR function. Loggins graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Boston College and an M.B.A from San Francisco State University.

  

  PaShon Mann , , [ARCHIVES]

  PaShon Mann has more than 25 years of leadership experience as a talent executive across multiple industries. She currently is a vice president of talent acquisition and leads sourcing, university, diversity, and military hiring for Comcast. Previously she led talent acquisition; talent management; and diversity, equity, and inclusion for the technology division of Comcast. Her career consists of leadership roles in global talent acquisition and diversity and onclusion at many large organizations like Microsoft, Dell, Amtrak, and Northrop Grumman. She attended Morgan State University, where she received a B.S. in psychology and pursued a M.S. in industrial organizational psychology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has received executive education at UPenn-Wharton, UVA - Darden School of Business. She is active in the community through her various positions.

  

  Melissa Angerson , Global Head, Early Careers, Expedia Group

  Melissa Angerson’s passion over the last decade has been focused in the early careers space, believing strongly in helping students, graduates, and early careers talent find the roles that allow their strengths, passions, and purpose to be put to 'work.' She has led regional and global early careers recruitment and development teams and has held roles across HR including professional recruitment, talent, and learning. Previously, she led Standard Chartered Bank’s early careers team and currently leads Expedia Group’s early careers team globally.

  

  Jenny Araque , Senior Director, North America Talent Acquisition, FTI Consulting, Inc.

  Jenny Araque is a global diversity, equity, and inclusion and talent acquisition leader with more than 16 years of experience in the top legal, accounting, consulting, and healthcare companies in the world. Her passion for engagement in the early careers space with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion stems from her own experiences as a Hispanic, first-generation college graduate from an immigrant family. Throughout her career she has developed and implemented inclusive and equitable recruitment programs and processes directly positively impacting underrepresented minorities entering the workforce. She is currently a global talent acquisition director at Anthem, Inc. and serves on the NACE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
