• Summary

  Are your interns receiving the type of experience to yield meaningful results for your company? Explore ways to enhance your intern’s program experience across office location and virtually with four elements that focus on pre-boarding, onboarding, the experience, and off boarding. This session will offer practical tips to drive a standardized experience across your organization to increase your brand and overall intern satisfaction. All are welcome to join, but the session will be targeted mainly to the employer audience.

  Following this program, you will be able to:

  • Learn how to enhance each element of the recruiting process and intern program (pre-boarding, onboarding, intern experience, and off boarding) without being physically present;
  • Explore how to drive the intern program from the College of Excellence, but execute intern program events and experiences by leveraging a supportive community to create a standardized intern experience; and
  • Investigate ways to involve managers in the intern program to ensure consistency of experience and alignment to overall program goals.

  Jacquelyn Reis , Senior Recruiter, The Cigna Group

  Jackie Reis is a senior recruiter with the finance organization support audit and risk management. Prior to this role, she was a senior recruiter on the university relations and recruiting team at Cigna. Prior to Cigna, she worked in university recruiting at TE Connectivity and Aramark. She is a NACE Leadership Advancement Program Class of 2015 graduate and graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management.

  

  Allison Eastwood , University Recruiting & Relations, The Cigna Group

  Allison Eastwood started her career in the early career space during her time working in the career services center as the employee relations contact Wesleyan University. After quickly realizing her passion for entry-level talent development, Eastwood joined Cigna and has grown her career within the organization over the last nearly 15 years. Her roles at Cigna have ranged from enterprise intern program manager and recruiter to her current role as the senior recruiter supporting the actuarial executive development program. Eastwood has a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University and is currently obtaining her master’s in human resource management at University of Connecticut.

  

  Kathleen Idehara , Early Career Program And Operations Manager, The Cigna Group

  Kathleen Idehara is the early career program manager at Cigna. She manages the design, development, and delivery of Cigna’s early career programming, most recently with an emphasis on delivering a virtual experience. Her team is responsible for ensuring all interns have a meaningful, engaging, and consistent summer internship experience. In her previous role at Express Scripts, she served as senior manager of the university relations and program initiatives team, where she lead a team of university recruiters who served as the primary resource for interns from hiring to conversion. Outside of her roles at Cigna and Express Scripts, she worked in various positions in the talent acquisition field, focused on leadership development and diversity hiring. In addition to her role at Cigna, she currently serves as a co-lead of NACE’s AANAPISI Affinity Group.
