    • Summary

      What Color is Your Parachute? for College is a newly-released comprehensive career guide for college students based on the bestselling job-hunting system created by Richard Bolles. In this presentation the author, Katharine Brooks, will present the highlights of the Parachute Approach, which can be easily applied to one-on-one and group coaching or advising sessions with college students. Topics covered will include career exploration, designing a workplace that fits, establishing connections and conversations that lead to jobs, and preparing to find an internship, GAP experience, job, or entry into graduate school. This book can be used with individual students or can serve as a textbook for a career class.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Implement and apply the exercises and concepts in WCIYP for College;
      • Assist students with all aspects of the search, including graduate school, GAP experiences, internships, and full-time employment; and
      • Develop and enhance your coaching with new information, exercises, and activities.
