  You have the power to effect change for yourself, your colleagues, your organizations, and for the students you serve or recruit. NACE’s Game Changers Series, in celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, shines a light on game changers who share their personal stories and serve as models for working to bring about positive change.

  What can you do to bring about positive change? Join leaders from NACE’s Asian American Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) Affinity Group as they detail how the group brings together members to support each other and push change forward through programming, resource sharing, and content development.

  Kathleen Idehara , Early Career Program And Operations Manager, The Cigna Group

  Kathleen Idehara is the early career program manager at Cigna. She manages the design, development, and delivery of Cigna’s early career programming, most recently with an emphasis on delivering a virtual experience. Her team is responsible for ensuring all interns have a meaningful, engaging, and consistent summer internship experience. In her previous role at Express Scripts, she served as senior manager of the university relations and program initiatives team, where she lead a team of university recruiters who served as the primary resource for interns from hiring to conversion. Outside of her roles at Cigna and Express Scripts, she worked in various positions in the talent acquisition field, focused on leadership development and diversity hiring. In addition to her role at Cigna, she currently serves as a co-lead of NACE’s AANAPISI Affinity Group.

  

  Rick Wan , Program Director, Graduate Career Services, University of California - Los Angeles - Career Center

  Rick Wan is a first-generation immigrant, first-generation college student, and first-generation professional currently serving as the NACE AANAPISI Affinity Group Co-Chair and is the manager for graduate career services at the UCLA Career Center. His 20+ years in student affairs administration at both UCLA and UC Berkeley has focused on residence life, graduate education, and career services. He earned his degrees from Pasadena City College, California State University, Los Angeles, and Colorado State University.

  

  Kacheyta McClellan , Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, NACE

  Kacheyta earned a B.S. in Management and an M.B.A. in Human Resources from the University of Southern Indiana. Diversity & Inclusion as well as Career Development comprise 15 plus years of his experience in Higher Education and Associations. As a strategy architect, Kacheyta has developed successful conferences, retention initiatives, assessment tools, and diversity metrics that have earned him honors such as one of the Evansville Business Journal’s 20 under 40 Emerging Leaders and Leadership Evansville’s Individual Leadership Award recipient. He has also succeeded in developing partnerships with employers that have turned in to a variety of opportunities for students including internships, job shadowing, job placement, and more. Kacheyta has served on dozens of boards and committees that are community-focused with special attention reserved for people of color. In his current role as Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Kacheyta focuses efforts to advance the association and profession through a DEI lens. In addition to evaluating internal practices and analyzing all aspects of the association, Kacheyta also works with professionals throughout the nation to identify, investigate, and promote actions that move individuals and employers to be more inclusive. Some of his professional affiliations are with Career Development Professionals of Indiana (CDPI), National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE), NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, Kappa Beta Delta International Honors Society (Honorary), Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honors Society, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated (Life Member).
