    • Summary

      Now that the academic year is underway, we are experiencing—in real time—the impact and initial outcomes of the strategies each campus and employer has developed to engage students and candidates.

      This experience is significantly different from one campus to the next. Some are physically on campus with all students. Others are operating completely in the virtual environment. Some are doing both—some in person, some virtual. And many others have quickly shifted from in person to virtual due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic.

      Employers, too, have begun fall recruiting activities, engaging candidates in new and innovative ways—especially those who frontload their recruiting into the fall semester.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Hear about what's happening a few weeks after the fall opening, including what's working; what adjustments to processes, plans, and procedures have been made; and how these changes are impacting the student/candidate experience;
      • Learn about how employers are experiencing virtual candidate engagement in the early stages of the talent acquisition life cycle and what initial adjustments they are making to recruiting plans; and
      • Learn about the changes schools and employers are implementing to address the racism pandemic-based on results from the August NACE Quick Poll.
