• Summary

  Join NACE Executive Director Shawn VanDerziel to explore the latest updates on what is happening in college career development and recruiting. Shawn will share real-time data gathered through NACE quick polls and discuss the implications with insightful guests around a range of topics.

  This meet up will explore employer recruiting plans for the Fall 2020 based on results from the May NACE Quick Poll.  Results will provide an initial picture of possible changes and adjustments to campus recruiting.  Guests will provide insights relative to anticipated shifts in recruiting strategies for the coming academic year and opportunities for enhancing the relationship between career services and URR professionals.

  Shawn VanDerziel , President & Chief Executive Officer, NACE

  As president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Shawn VanDerziel leads the association of 16,000 college career services professionals, university relations and recruiting professionals, and business solution providers that serve the community. As a leading voice on the employment of the college educated and advocate for equitable outcomes for all students, VanDerziel is featured regularly as an industry expert and is a sought-after speaker on a range of topics, including internships, hiring, career readiness, and trends in the workforce and college job market. Prior to joining the NACE staff, VanDerziel was with the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago for 23 years, where he most recently served as chief human resources officer and as chief of staff. His earlier roles included corporate recruiting with Norrell Corporation and a position in higher education as associate director of student enrollment at National Louis University.

  

  Simon Kho , Vice President, Head of Campus Recruiting, Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.

  Simon Kho is VP and head of Campus Recruiting at Raymond James Financial. He leads the team responsible for expanding the attraction, engagement, recruitment, and advancement of university students, through diversity pipeline programs, summer internships, and new hire development programs. He has led talent management and acquisition functions, domestically and internationally, across many industries, including professional services, fintech, energy, investment banking, leadership consulting, and financial advisory. Kho has also worked in higher education administration at both private and public universities prior to moving into corporate human capital roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a master’s degree from Fordham University.
