    The 2017 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey,based on responses from 301 organizations nationwide that hire new college graduates, extensively explores key aspects of college recruiting. The report provides key benchmarks on how efforts are organized, staffed, focused and executed, as well as outcome-oriented benchmarks and metrics. It also provides insight into trends by comparing current results to past surveys.

    The survey was conducted from July 19,2017 to August 1, 2017, among NACE employer members.

    Key findings include:

    • Half (50.0 percent) of employers’ full-time, entry-level hires were recent college graduates.
    • The average total annual recruiting budget for the 2015-16 recruiting year was $480,181.
    • Almost all responding employers identified college career centers as an on-campus resource (97.9 percent).
    • On average, the time from job posting to interview was 37.5 days.
    • In this year’s report, 80.3 percent of employers reported having diversity efforts, a significant increase from last year.
