Under a final rule issued recently by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), employees who make less than $35,568 are now eligible for overtime pay.
In the final rule—which will take effect January 1, 2020—the DOL has raised the “standard salary level” from the currently enforced level of $455 per week ($23,660 annualized) to $684 per week ($35,568 annualized).
