NACE Affinity Groups

Developed an Affinity Group Council giving voice to the various identities of NACE membership.

Actions Taken

• Prioritized speaker selection and programming with a focus on the diversity of our membership.
• Adopted a selection model for Board of Directors, volunteers, and volunteer leaders that considers the diversity of our membership.

Actions Taken

• Began looking at processes to ensure NACE is centering inclusion.
• Hired a Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
• Revised the search process to be more inclusive; NACE staff have participated in ongoing DEI professional development.

Advocacy

Published research regarding paid internships with insights based on demographic information.

Published research regarding member DEI strategies.

DEI Committee

The DEI Committee has provided guidance regarding research projects and language.

NACE YouTube

Leveraged a variety of social media platforms, including YouTube, to engage in the ongoing dialogue regarding the Black community, racism, and equity.

Recruiter Leadership Institute

Professional development programs, such as the Recruiter Leadership Institute, have relevant DEI components.

The Career Readiness Competencies Task Force has begun reviewing the NACE Career Readiness Competencies to infuse DEI language and behaviors.

A Pledge to Act
