NACE Response to DOE on New System of College Ratings
In February 2015, NACE responded the Department of Education’s call for comments on the DOE’s new system of college ratings.
Noting that “NACE believes that a performance evaluation for individual colleges and universities based on graduate outcomes in fundamentally flawed,” the response provided information about NACE’s First-Destination Survey initiative. It also included an offer to work with the department to develop measures for elements “the institutions can directly control,” such as funding for career services/resources dedicated to supporting students’ career development.
